Kate Gosselin from "Jon & Kate plus 8" and "Kate plus 8" is starting a new job as a coupon blogger for Coupon Cabin later this month.
Now, I never watched either shows so the little bit I know about Kate Gosselin is what I've heard on entertainment news. What are your thoughts on this? Will you take coupon advice from Kate Gosselin? Do you think this is a publicity ploy to get more people to visit the Coupon Cabin site? Share your thoughts in the comment section!
I didn't watch the shows either, but I know that Kate does coupon a lot just from stuff I have read so she could be good at it. I know she doesn't have a job since her show got canceled so I think she would take anything honestly!

ReplyDeleteI can remember an earlier episode of their show... before they moved into the big house... where she chewed John out for buying something without a coupon and lectured "we don't buy anything without a coupon, you know that". She demanded the receipt back and went stomping off. I have also heard other references of coupons on the show before, so I think her advice may be legitimate, so yeah, i will watch.
ReplyDeleteAlso, though I cannot imagine being married to her, I can sympathize with her just a bit and don't have a very high opinion of her whiny husband. I think she is a very demanding, type A personality that barks under stress. The relationship she had with her husband taught them both that she would bark and he would obey..that is something that was nurtured by both parties. If you watched the show from the beginning, you can see that she has always been the same person with the same goals and opinions....her husband on the other hand, seems to have changed his mind about alot of things. My long winded point is that I still have respect for her as a mom and kinda root her on...even though I think the "hollywood" in her life blinds her now from some of our 'real' struggless...she has 'been there'
LOL, Brenda. Thanks! Mandy, I'm glad she actually uses coupons, that gives her some legitimacy. but I'm with you on your Examiner article, how in the world is she going to make a living at it? Amanda, It's good to hear an opinion from someone who has actually watched the show. I don't really know anything about them, I just know I got sick of HEARING about them. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI agree. The news coverage got really old. I think that this family and alot of its problems is a product of the show and of the media and fame that came with it. I always enjoyed watching it, but I have to admit that it was kinda like watching a train wreck (just can't look away). Part of the appeal at the show was the 'gasp" and "can you believe she said that to him...or that he TOOK it from her". For me, lesson learned is that we teach people how to treat us.
