Use your calculator at the store
An important tool in saving money buying groceries or household products is to use your calculator. Those items can add up fast in your cart if you aren't being mindful of what you're spending. This can lead to sticker shock at the register. Keep a calculator with you and use it to add up items as you go through the store. Then when you get to checkout, you will have an idea of how much you've spent. It's also helpful if you're using coupons because it will help you catch it if the cashier makes a mistake putting in a coupon at checkout.
